Toddler fatally attacked by daycare owner’s dogs while sleeping, according to police reports.

A tragic incident occurred in Valdosta, Georgia, where a 2-year-old boy lost his life following an attack by two large dogs owned by the operator of an unlicensed daycare. The boy, identified as Kaimir Jones, was found deceased at approximately 3:45 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon. Emergency responders arrived at a residence in the community and discovered the child had been mauled by two Rottweilers.

According to police reports, the daycare owner, 48-year-old Stacy Wheeler Cobb, claimed she had taken a nap, believing that Kaimir was also asleep. During this period, the young boy wandered into the backyard, where he was able to access the kennel housing the dogs. Authorities suggest that this action ultimately allowed the dogs to escape and attack.

At the time of the incident, Kaimir was the only child in Cobb’s care. In the wake of this tragedy, Cobb has been arrested and is facing grave charges, including second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to children.
