Russian model and Miss Universe 2017 contestant Kseniya Alexandrova has died at the age of 30.

The modeling and beauty pageant communities are in mourning following the tragic passing of Kseniya Alexandrova, a former contestant in the Miss Universe 2017 competition. Alexandrova, who was 30 years old, succumbed to injuries sustained in a severe car accident involving an elk that crashed through her vehicle’s windshield.

Alexandrova gained recognition as the first runner-up in the Miss Russia 2017 pageant and was also known for her roles as a television host and for her academic achievements. She held a degree in finance from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and further pursued education in psychology, obtaining a degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University in 2022. She had recently embarked on a career as a psychodrama therapist, aiming to help others through her newfound expertise.

The incident occurred on July 5, when Alexandrova and her husband were traveling through Tver Oblast, approximately 200 miles northwest of Moscow. As they were driving home from Rzhev in their Porsche Panamera, an elk appeared suddenly on the M-9 highway. Despite her husband’s efforts to avoid the animal, the collision was unavoidable, resulting in immediate and critical injuries to Alexandrova.

Reports indicate that her husband, who remains unnamed, was unharmed but described the scene as harrowing. He stated that his wife was unconscious and severely injured following the impact, sustaining multiple fractures to her skull, making the situation dire. Emergency assistance was quickly summoned, and Alexandrova was transported to Moscow’s Sklifosovsky Institute for Emergency Medicine, where she remained in a coma for over a month. She ultimately passed away on August 12.

Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, expressed deep sorrow over her untimely demise, reflecting on her inspirational spirit and the impact she had on those around her. The agency released a heartfelt statement, describing Alexandrova as a symbol of beauty, kindness, and resilience. They extended condolences to her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
