Connecticut man charged with murder for the deaths of both of his parents.

In a tragic incident in Waterbury, Connecticut, a 25-year-old man, Javian Adams, has been charged with the murders of his parents, Marc Adams, age 55, and Carlene Williams, age 51. The shootings occurred late Monday evening at Williams’ residence on Beverly Avenue. Notably, Marc Adams did not reside at the home at the time of the incident.

Waterbury police were called to the scene shortly before midnight and arrived to find both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Chief of Police Fernando Spagnolo confirmed that both were pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities quickly shifted their focus to Adams as a suspect following the investigation.

Upon identifying Adams, law enforcement officials obtained an arrest warrant which charged him with murder under special circumstances, as well as charges of murder committed during the commission of a felony, criminal use of a firearm, and other related offenses. He was subsequently arrested in the early hours of Tuesday near Lake Winnemaug Road in the adjacent town of Watertown, where he was also suspected of having committed a burglary.

According to Chief Spagnolo, Adams has a documented history of domestic violence and was reportedly on probation for prior domestic violence-related offenses. This background raises significant concerns regarding the circumstances surrounding the recent tragedy.

Adams is currently being held on a bond set at million and is anticipated to face arraignment later on Wednesday. In addition to the murder charges, he faces separate allegations of burglary and larceny in connection with the incident that unfolded in Watertown.

Authorities have also asked for public assistance in locating a white Ford Escape that was linked to the burglary. Fortunately, this vehicle has since been recovered in a park located in Middlebury, approximately three miles away from the murder scene.
