AC/DC to perform live at Lincoln Financial Field in 2026.

AC/DC, the iconic Australian rock band, is scheduled to deliver an electrifying performance at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia on September 29, marking the culmination of their tour in support of their latest album, “Power Up,” released in 2020. This upcoming concert represents the band’s largest show in Philadelphia to date and their first outdoor performance in the city, a significant milestone in their extensive career.

Fronted by the charismatic Brian Johnson, known for his powerful vocals, and accompanied by guitarist Angus Young, whose signature schoolboy outfit has become emblematic of the band, AC/DC is set to make a memorable return to Philadelphia. This concert will be their first live performance in the city since a gig at the Wells Fargo Center in 2016, igniting excitement among fans who have eagerly awaited their return.

Joining the classic lineup are drummer Matt Lang, bassist Chris Chaney, and guitarist Stevie Young, who is the nephew of Angus Young and closely follows his uncle in age. The band’s history is marked by the departure of founding member Malcolm Young in 2014 due to health issues, which culminated in his passing in 2017. Despite these challenges, AC/DC continues to thrive, showcasing their enduring appeal and adaptability in the highly competitive music industry.

Since its formation in 1973, AC/DC has left an indelible mark on the rock genre, with their Philadelphia debut occurring at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby in 1979. They subsequently performed 14 shows at the esteemed Spectrum venue between 1979 and 2001, solidifying their status within the vibrant Philadelphia music scene. Their album “Back in Black,” released in 1980, remains one of the best-selling records globally, with estimated sales of 50 million copies, second only to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

AC/DC’s upcoming performance is part of a growing roster of stadium concerts scheduled at Lincoln Financial Field for the 2026 outdoor music season. Country music sensation Morgan Wallen has two shows planned for July 31 and August 1, 2026, to promote his “Still the Problem” tour, with support from Brooks & Dunn and Ella Langley. Additionally, the Foo Fighters are set to take the stage on August 13, accompanied by Queens of the Stone Age and Philadelphia’s own Mannequin Pussy, further enhancing the city’s dynamic concert calendar.

Tickets for AC/DC’s much-anticipated show at Lincoln Financial Field will be available for purchase starting November 7 at noon through their official website. Fans and rock enthusiasts alike can look forward to an unforgettable evening filled with their classic anthems and high-energy performances, reaffirming AC/DC’s place as one of the most influential rock bands in music history.
