Disneyland appoints new president following a reshuffle of Disney’s executive leadership team.

In a significant executive reshuffle designed to reposition leadership at the company, Disneyland Resort has announced the appointment of Jill Estorino as its new president, marking the third change in this role within a year. Estorino, who previously held the position of President of Disney Parks International, will now oversee not just Disneyland but also Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and the three Disney hotels. This change comes at a pivotal time as the resort prepares for a long-term expansion initiative known as DisneylandForward.

Estorino expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, highlighting Disneyland’s legacy as the birthplace of Walt Disney’s vision and its ongoing representation of the brand’s ideals. She passionately detailed her commitment to fostering community relations and delivering groundbreaking experiences that resonate with both current and future guests. Her extensive background, which includes pivotal roles in the development of several international projects such as the Marvel Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris and the World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland, positions her as a well-suited leader for the iconic California park.

She succeeds Thomas Mazloum, who has been designated to assume the role of Disney Experiences boss, transitioning from his leadership position at Disneyland, which he held since March 2025. This organizational shift reflects the ongoing restructuring initiated by Disney’s incoming CEO, Josh D’Amaro, who is set to replace Bob Iger on March 18 during the company’s annual meeting.

D’Amaro has commended Estorino’s leadership capabilities, asserting that she possesses a profound understanding of what makes Disneyland a special destination and has the vision to honor and expand upon its rich heritage. In her new capacity, Estorino will aim to enhance the park’s existing offerings while exploring innovative avenues for growth.

Estorino’s tenure at Disney spans 35 years, during which she has built an impressive career in marketing and operational leadership across various Disney theme parks, including those in Asia. An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Estorino has also been recognized for her innovative approaches to brand experience and marketing strategies.

In conjunction with Estorino’s leadership transition, Tasia Filippatos has been appointed as the new Disney Parks International president, further solidifying the strategic adjustments within Disney’s executive ranks. The ongoing developments within Disneyland Resort are framed within Disney’s larger vision, aiming to nurture a legacy that is both respectful of its past and attuned to the evolving expectations of guests.
