Kylie Jenner faces lawsuit for alleged religious and racial discrimination, along with harassment claims.
Kylie Jenner, the prominent entrepreneur and social media figure, is facing a lawsuit filed by her former live-in housekeeper, Angelica Vasquez. The lawsuit, lodged in Los Angeles last week, accuses Jenner and several other unnamed defendants of fostering a hostile work environment characterized by religious and racial discrimination, bullying, and retaliation. Vasquez contends that Jenner failed to protect her from this alleged mistreatment.
The legal complaint brands Jenner, the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, among the parties responsible for what Vasquez describes as “ongoing harassment, discrimination, retaliation and unlawful working conditions.” Also named in the suit are Tri Star Services LLC and La Maison Family Services LLC, alongside a number of unidentified individuals.
Vasquez claims to have endured a barrage of humiliation and belittlement related to her race, national origin—specifically her Salvadoran heritage—and her Catholic beliefs. She alleges her grievances fell on deaf ears, asserting that Jenner did not take appropriate action on her behalf. According to court documents, the alleged discrimination and harassment were pervasive and originated primarily from other staff members, including the head housekeeper and another colleague.
The lawsuit elaborates on instances of intimidating behavior, including derogatory remarks about Vasquez’s immigration status. Moreover, Vasquez asserts that her complaints about the working conditions were met with hostility
