In a troubling case from New Jersey, police officer Rebecca Sayegh, 32, has been charged with a series of serious offenses, including home invasion and assault, following an alleged violent encounter at her ex-boyfriend’s residence. The incident occurred on April 25, when Sayegh, who was off duty, reportedly broke into the home she once shared with her ex-partner using a baton. At the time of the invasion, her ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend were present in the living room.
According to reports, Sayegh’s actions escalated from a verbal dispute to physical confrontations. Notably, one of the victims sustained an eye injury during the altercation before the ex-boyfriend managed to leave the premises to call for help. Upon arrival, police officers were engaged in a struggle with Sayegh, who allegedly resisted arrest and caused approximately ,000 worth of damage to the property.
Following her arrest, Sayegh was released from jail on a Friday after initially being taken into custody the previous week.
