Woman’s plan to murder ex-boyfriend, a Philadelphia police officer, and his teenage daughter was thwarted by a match on Tinder, according to prosecutors.

In a disturbing case from Camden County, New Jersey, a woman has been charged in connection with a murder-for-hire plot targeting her former boyfriend, Philadelphia police officer Matthew O’Hanlon, and his teenage daughter. Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, of Runnemede, allegedly sought to engage a hitman to carry out the killings for a price of ,000, according to prosecutors. The plan, which unfolded ominously in a Dollar General parking lot in Gloucester Township, was thwarted shortly after its inception when the would-be assassin reported Diiorio’s intentions to law enforcement.

Prosecutors revealed that Diiorio discovered the potential hitman through the dating app Tinder and arranged an in-person meeting at a local Wawa convenience store. The meeting culminated in Diiorio providing a 0 down payment for the murders before being apprehended by police on the scene.

Camden County Assistant Prosecutor David Dietz outlined the details of Diiorio’s alleged conspiracy during a detention hearing, emphasizing the seriousness of her actions and describing her as a potential threat to the community. According to Dietz, evidence indicated that Diiorio had been plotting the deaths of O’Hanlon, aged 53, and his 19-year-old daughter for several months. The prosecution further noted that she had specifically instructed her hired accomplice to target the daughter first, seemingly to minimize the risk of drawing police attention due to O’Hanlon’s law enforcement status.

In a chilling twist, it was disclosed that Diiorio had previously attempted to hire others for the same purpose but was deceived by fraudulent proof of murder. Dietz emphasized that this recent attempt should not be viewed as an isolated incident but rather as part of an ongoing pattern of alarming behavior showcasing a clear prioritization of financial gain over human life.

Diiorio was observed in court wearing a yellow jail uniform, displaying no verbal reaction during the proceedings. Judge Yolanda Rodriguez concluded that Diiorio posed a danger to O’Hanlon and his daughter, ordering her detention without bail. She faces multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy.

The case against Diiorio reveals a tumultuous relationship between her and O’Hanlon, who had previously filed a temporary restraining order against her last August. Notably, Diiorio had also sought a restraining order against him, although reports suggest she was persuaded to withdraw it.

The next hearing for this disturbing case is set for a later date, February 7, as the proceedings continue to unfold. Media News Source will continue to follow this story, which raises significant questions about the undercurrents of manipulation and desperation in personal relationships.
