A 25-year-old moped rider dies in Brooklyn after crashing into two vehicles at an intersection.
A tragic incident in Brooklyn has left a 25-year-old man dead following a collision involving two vehicles early Tuesday morning. According to reports released by local authorities, the accident occurred around 4:40 a.m. at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Bedford Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the victim was traveling east on Myrtle Avenue on a 2022 Yiben moped when he collided with a Subaru that was heading north on Bedford Avenue. The force of the impact was significant enough to throw the rider off his moped, causing him to subsequently strike a Nissan that was also driving north on Bedford Avenue.
Emergency medical services quickly arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital. Upon arrival, he was treated for critical injuries but unfortunately succumbed shortly thereafter. As of the latest updates, the victim’s identity has not been publicly disclosed.
