A security guard sustained multiple injuries after intervening in a conflict at a Bronx urgent care facility, an incident that underscores growing concerns about safety in healthcare settings. The event, which took place around 2:30 p.m. on April 14 at a City MD Urgent Care on East 170th Street near Walton Avenue in the Mount Eden neighborhood, involved a 21-year-old guard who was attacked by a couple involved in a heated argument.
According to law enforcement officials, the altercation escalated when the security guard attempted to break up the dispute between the man and woman. In response, the pair turned on the guard, inflicting serious injuries. They reportedly stabbed him in the back with a sharp object, and subsequently sprayed him with pepper spray
