Carrot Top to Return to Stage After Recent Suicide Attempt, Expresses Gratitude to Supporters

Iconic comedian Carrot Top is poised to return to the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, with a performance scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday. This announcement comes nearly a month after he was hospitalized following what was reported to be a suicide attempt. The 61-year-old performer, whose real name is Scott Thompson, expressed immense gratitude for the support he received during his recovery via a heartfelt post on social media.

Since 2005, Carrot Top has maintained a consistent residency at the Luxor, where he has performed nearly 300 shows annually. He has become well-known for his unique comedic style, which features oversized props, inventive routines, and a dynamic stage presence that blends lasers, lights, and music. His comedic career took off in the early 1990s, and he has since established himself as a mainstay in the entertainment industry.

On September 18, Carrot Top was found unresponsive near his backyard pool, prompting his manager to call for a welfare check. Las Vegas police reported he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Following the incident, updates from his publicist revealed that he had regained consciousness and was improving, surrounded by loved ones.

Shortly after his hospitalization, details emerged regarding an alleged blackmail situation involving a former associate, Brian Evans, who reportedly threatened to release a compromising video unless Carrot Top paid 0,000. This distressing event reportedly contributed to Thompson’s mental health crisis. After approximately one week of intensive care, he was discharged and began his recovery at home.

Carrot Top has made limited public appearances since his release, attending church with family members on two occasions in early October, but notably refrained from discussing the circumstances surrounding his hospitalization until now. His representatives stated that the outpouring of messages from fans sharing how his comedy has positively impacted their lives has been a significant source of comfort during his recovery.

In his recent post, Carrot Top thanked his supporters for their kindness, revealing that their encouragement has made a profound impact during this challenging time. His upcoming performance at the Luxor will mark a significant return to the stage, offering both him and his fans an opportunity to reconnect in a celebratory environment. As he resumes his comedic endeavors, the entertainment community watches closely, hoping for Carrot Top’s continued healing and success in the months ahead.
