Chester County man charged with possession of child pornography; formerly served as volunteer firefighter and 911 dispatcher.

In a significant legal development, Anton W. Bilski, a 25-year-old former volunteer firefighter and 911 dispatcher from Landenberg, Pennsylvania, faces federal charges for possession of child pornography. His arrest occurred on March 20, 2023, when federal agents executed a search warrant at his residence located in Chester County, southwest of Kennett Square.

Prosecutors have detailed serious allegations against Bilski, stating that a robust investigation is underway. They have indicated the intention to file additional charges as the case evolves. U.S. Magistrate Judge Caroline Goldner Cinquanto presided over the pre-trial proceedings and granted a motion to keep Bilski in custody, rejecting any request for bail pending further legal actions.

In the wake of his arrest, Bilski has been terminated from his role as a 911 dispatcher, where he previously served the community. Furthermore, the Avondale Fire Company, where Bilski held the position of lieutenant, publicly announced through social media that they had revoked his membership and relieved him of all responsibilities due to the nature of the charges he faces. The fire company’s statement reflected their commitment to community safety and the seriousness of the allegations against him.

The federal investigation into Bilski began in September 2025, following allegations from an international source claiming he was involved in the exchange of child pornography via an Instagram account identified as “Abilski26.” Prosecutors assert that Bilski has been actively collecting and distributing sexually explicit materials involving children, with the acts allegedly occurring over a span from 2023 until February 2026.

The case has drawn significant attention not just because of its disturbing nature but also due to Bilski’s former positions in public service roles that underscore a profound breach of trust. As the legal process unfolds, the community and those connected to the institutions he once served are left grappling with the implications of such egregious conduct.

Legal representation for Bilski, Assistant Federal Defender Michael B. McCrossen, has refrained from commenting publicly on the case, leaving many details to emerge as the case develops. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as the investigation continues.
