Journey reveals 2026 farewell tour as they announce plans to part ways.
Journey, the iconic rock band that has been a significant force in the music industry for over five decades, has officially announced their farewell tour, titled the “Final Frontier Tour 2026.” The announcement was made on Thursday, revealing that the tour will commence in February 2026 and cover at least 60 dates across North America until early July.
Currently consisting of lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, original guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardists Jonathan Cain and Jason Derlatka, drummer Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen, Journey will kick off their tour on February 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The band will make several notable stops, including performances in Trenton, New Jersey on March 5 and Atlantic City on May 23, before concluding the tour in Laredo, Texas on July 2.
Ticket sales for the scheduled concerts are set to begin on November 14 at 10 a.m. ET, with the potential for more tour dates to be revealed in the near future. As part of their promotional campaign, Journey shared a teaser on Instagram the day prior to the announcement, featuring a cosmic theme and accompanied by their classic hit, “Separate Ways.”
Neal Schon spoke on behalf of the band, expressing gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support over the years. He emphasized that the tour will feature an array of performances, including both popular hits and lesser-known tracks, encapsulating a celebration of their collective musical journey. Schon also hinted that while this tour marks the end of a significant chapter, it represents a prelude to new endeavors for the band.
Formed in 1973, Journey gained immense popularity with timeless hits such as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” and “Faithfully.” Despite their widespread acclaim, the band received only a single Grammy nomination in 1997 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the song “When You Love A Woman.” Nonetheless, “Don’t Stop Believin'” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2021, further solidifying its place in music history.
Journey’s legacy is further cemented by the induction of Schon and Cain into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, alongside original members Ross Valory, Steve Perry, Gregg Rolie, Aynsley Dunbar, and Steve Smith. As the revered band prepares for their final tour, fans and music enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating a memorable farewell celebration.
