Macy’s reveals 7 new floats for the Thanksgiving Day Parade, featuring Labubu and Lego among others.
The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is poised to offer an exciting display of creativity and culture with the introduction of seven brand new floats, including a notable debut that will spotlight the popular Labubu character from the trendsetting brand Pop Mart. This year’s parade promises to capture the essence of contemporary pop culture, an intention expressed by the Macy’s creative production team that works year-round to bring fresh ideas into the event’s design.
With a blend of innovation and nostalgic favorites, the upcoming parade will feature several new themed floats. Among them is “Friends-giving in POPCITY,” which celebrates community-building through the whimsical lens of Pop Mart’s Labubu toys. Other additions include the “Brick-tastic Winter Mountain” created by The LEGO Group, the “Master Chocolatier Ballroom” from Lindt, “The Land of Glaciers, Wildlife & Wonder” presented by Holland America Line, “The Counting Sheep’s Dream Generator” from mattress manufacturer Serta, “The Littlest Float” from Goldfish snacks, and the highly anticipated “Upside Down Invasion” float inspired by Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” coinciding with the premiere of its final season.
Macy’s has expressed great excitement about the Pop Mart float, which will feature massive 16-foot-tall inflatable representations of Labubu and Mokoko, marking them as the first of their kind ever constructed for this iconic parade. The global enthusiasm surrounding Pop Mart’s “ugly-cute” collectibles adds to the float’s appeal, suggesting a merging of tradition with modern trends that resonate with a diverse audience.
The 99th parade will also showcase beloved returning floats and character balloons, such as Santa’s Sleigh, Tom Turkey, and iconic figures from “Sesame Street.” Fan-favorite balloons including Buzz Lightyear, PAC-Man, Mario, and Shrek’s Onion Carriage will also join the lineup. This year, celebrated characters like Minnie Mouse, Bluey, Snoopy, and Smokey Bear will enhance the festive atmosphere.
As anticipation builds, spectators can catch a glimpse of the balloon inflation process on November 26, 2025, along Central Park West. For those unable to attend, a primetime preview will air on NBC and Peacock starting at 8 p.m. that evening. The main parade event is scheduled for November 27, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones, with a repeat airing at 2 p.m. ET/PT. The event will once again feature familiar faces from the “TODAY” show, with hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker leading the festivities.
With its rich history and commitment to innovation, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade continues to be a hallmark of American culture, celebrating both cherished traditions and contemporary trends in a spectacular fashion.
