Magic Castle magicians will perform in a new show at Knott’s Scary Farm this season.

Magic Castle magician Ruby Coby is set to headline a captivating new magic show titled “Occultum,” designed specifically for the audience attending Knott’s Scary Farm. This Halloween-themed spectacle promises to deliver a thrilling experience characterized by elements of horror, dismemberment, and theatricality, catering to fans eager for chills and excitement.

Coby, a seasoned performer associated with the prestigious Magic Castle, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Knott’s Scary Farm, stating that the partnership aligns perfectly with the event’s adventurous spirit. The show will take place in the Bird Cage Theatre at Knott’s, showcasing a rotating ensemble of magicians from the renowned Magic Castle, known for its elite performers and exclusive atmosphere.

The much-anticipated Knott’s Scary Farm 2026 will run on select nights from September 17 through October 31, featuring an impressive lineup that includes 10 mazes, five scare zones, three shows, and the participation of over 1,000 “monsters.” Coby noted that his return to this festival marks a significant milestone, as he last performed there 35 years ago, delivering a show that pushed creative boundaries.

Throughout his career, Coby has gained recognition for his daring performances. His past stunts included hammering a nail into his face and utilizing a chainsaw in dramatic tricks, which he indicated were too audacious for the more traditional setting of the Magic Castle. He aims for “Occultum” to embrace a similar spirit of audacity, promising an experience that delves into the weird and the macabre.

The Magic Castle will present a series of Halloween-themed performances during Knott’s Scary Farm weekends, beginning with shock illusionist Dan Sperry on the event’s opening weekend. Known for his mix of dark comedy, gothic aesthetics, and dramatic illusions, Sperry will perform four shows each night during the inaugural weekend, making him a fitting opener for this eerie celebration.

The dedicated performances will continue with a new magician featured each weekend. Coby is focused on curating an edgy experience that will stand apart from the more conventional magic displays typically associated with the Magic Castle. Mentalist Rob Zabrecky, celebrated for his unique style, is among the performers slated for “Occultum,” showcasing seances and darkly themed illusions.

As anticipation builds for the return of Knott’s Scary Farm, Coby’s leadership in the “Occultum” showcase illustrates a merging of traditional magic with modern horror, ensuring a thrilling experience for attendees. The lineup of other Magic Castle magicians will be announced soon, further enhancing the excitement surrounding this innovative collaboration.

For fans of magic and horror alike, “Occultum” promises to be a highlight of the Halloween season at Knott’s, appealing to those seeking anew level of theatrical horror. As Coby aptly puts it, the show aims to make “it as weird as possible,” ensuring a unique experience for all who dare to attend.
