Trevor Noah will host the Grammy Awards for the sixth and final time this year.

Trevor Noah, the acclaimed comedian and former host of “The Daily Show,” is set to host the Grammy Awards for the sixth consecutive year on February 1, 2026. Despite his departure from the daily late-night program, Noah continues to make a significant impact on televised entertainment. The Recording Academy announced that this will mark his final performance as the show’s emcee, bringing to a close a notable era in Grammy history.

Noah, age 41, first took up the mantle of host for the Grammys in 2021, following a pandemic-altered event that began a trend of rising viewership for the ceremony. His humorous and engaging style has resonated with audiences, contributing to increased ratings each year since his inaugural hosting stint. In addition to his hosting duties, Noah will also serve as an executive producer for this year’s show, underscoring his multifaceted involvement in the event.

The executive producer of the Grammys, Ben Winston, expressed his enthusiasm for Noah’s return, emphasizing the impact the comedian has had on the show throughout his tenure. Winston noted that the excitement surrounding Noah’s final hosting appearance adds a bittersweet note to the event.

In addition to his role as host, Noah is in the running for a Grammy this year as well. He has been nominated for Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for his children’s book, “Into the Uncut Grass.” This nomination follows his previous acknowledgments in the Best Comedy Album category during the 2024 and 2025 Grammy awards, although Noah has yet to secure a win.

This upcoming ceremony will also be historic for broadcast television; it marks CBS’s last telecast of the Grammys, as the show transitions to ABC beginning in 2026 and is set to remain with the network for at least a decade, extending through 2036. The live broadcast of the event will commence at 8 p.m. ET, featuring Kendrick Lamar, who leads the list of nominations with a total of nine.

Noah’s departure from the Grammy stage after this year highlights his significant contributions to the event and leaves viewers anticipating how this transition will influence the future of the awards. With his remarkable influence and wide-ranging talents, Trevor Noah’s final hosting of the Grammys promises to be an unforgettable occasion.
