Three individuals arrested following stabbing and assault at Showboat Resort in Atlantic City.
Three individuals have been apprehended following an incident of assault and stabbing at the Showboat Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The altercation occurred on April 5, resulting in injuries to two individuals, including a 38-year-old woman whose identity has yet to be disclosed. The arrests were confirmed by the Atlantic City Police Department.
The suspects include Kiandre Harris, 31, of Glen Burnie, Maryland; Quheem Whitehead, 38, and Marquita Wilson, 41, both from Newark, New Jersey. The police reported that the two Newark residents were arrested on Thursday, while Harris was taken into custody in Maryland the day prior.
Atlantic City Police Chief James Sarkos emphasized the urgency of the investigation, stating that officers and detectives were diligent in identifying and charging those responsible for the violent incident. He noted the successful collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces, which played a crucial role in tracking down the suspects.
Law enforcement responded to reports of a stabbing at the Showboat Resort, located at 801 Boardwalk, shortly after 10:30 p.m. Initial investigations revealed that following a verbal confrontation inside one of the resort’s restaurants, Whitehead allegedly pursued the victim and assaulted her, leading to her falling to the ground. Reports indicate that during this altercation, Wilson kicked the victim in the face.
